About us

Annie Dam is the founder and cake decorator behind Cake Couture. After receiving a Science degree at the University of Alberta, Annie travelled to the south of France on a scholarship to teach English. After 3 years in France, her travels took her to Spain where she lived for 5 years. During her years abroad, Annie had the opportunity to develop her real passion: combining art with her love for baking. As Annie perfected her style and learned new techniques in Europe, her work recognition grew, and so did the list of clients.

Cake artist Erica Krone, brings to Cake Couture her skills in both classic and avant-garde techniques of cake design. Upon graduation from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, Erica apprenticed under internationally reknowned cake decorators, in Sugar Art. She then travelled to Toronto to study advanced cake design from the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts. Having lent her astistic talents to various prestigious establishments from coast to coast, Erica's cakes have been featured in various publications around the world.
